Clavos Building Company uses a process of evolution, translating this dream into a reality. The first phase of the evolution is called the Pre-Construction Phase. It consists of preliminary construction preparations and the initial concept development that are necessary before the Architectural Phase can begin.
Architectural Design
Clavos Building Company begins the Architectural Phase with the client’s ‘raw materials’ that describe their dreams and ideas, their completed Lifestyle Analysis, and many in-depth conversations to capture the true essence of their dreams, balanced with their practical needs. Preliminary concept sketches are honed to make the starting point a precise integration of our clients’ desires, visual dreams, and everyday needs. Once the concept is defined, the architectural plans and drawings are begun.
Lot Selection
Clavos Building Company will accompany our clients, along with their realtor, during the lot search process. Through our Site Selection & Analysis, we can assess the lots you are reviewing and provide both design and build recommendations. Site Selection & Analysis 
Lot Preparation (Preliminary)
Upon completion of the lot selection process, Clavos Building Company will assess the newly acquired lot and begin preparations that are necessary prior to the building phase. This could include running water and utilities to the property, digging a well if it is required, building an easement, and any other number of preparatory activities required for the future home.
Homeowner Selections
At the same time, it is necessary for the clients to begin making their various selections for the new home regarding such items as cabinetry, appliances, flooring and paint colors. During this process, Clavos Building Company will guide the client with style selections to fit the overall concept and budget of the home. We have established relationships with a variety of craftsmen and suppliers who will be able to find the optimum fit for each project. Our objective is to transform the client’s dream into a practical reality.
Special Requests
Clavos Building Company is ready to handle a myriad of additional special requests from our clients at any point in the design/build process. These requests vary but often include arranging for transportation or lodging for our clients to attend building-related meetings, arranging for temporary storage of shipped furniture and items for the home during the building process, providing maps and directions along with schedules of appointments during client visits, arranging for dinner or golf outings during your stay, contacting the county for any variances, etc.. We are happy to handle the ‘little things’ that will make the evolution of your dream easier, simpler, and more enjoyable.
