Clavos Building Company is driven to consistently build homes to the highest of standards.

The final phase in the design/build process is led by Construction Manager, Michael Spatafore and Construction Coordinator, Kathryn Haskell. Both are process- and detail-oriented, and both emphasize open communications as Clavos strives to ensure the finished home is a living replica of the architectural design as well as the client’s dream.

Project Management
Michael is responsible for the total building process, and is integral to the oversight of the project, making sure the plans are being followed as prescribed, and managing the subcontractors. Our clients have full confidence knowing that both he and Kathryn will be available to answer their specific questions with Michael consistently on site to walk through those answers directly with them. They both encourage open communication throughout the process, all the while Kathryn specifically ensures that all client choices are made in a timely fashion to keep the project on target.

Building Process
During the Construction Phase, Michael will have weekly progress site meetings with the client ensuring consistent and direct interaction between all parties involved from the suppliers to the subcontractors. This serves to keep the project running smoothly and efficiently so that when client needs arise, they are addressed promptly – including any changes, additions or revisions to the original plans.

During this stage, the focus lies solely on building the actual home as efficiently as possible and to the highest standards. At this time, the client’s selections are finalized, orders are placed, and interior design questions are resolved. The project budget is under constant scrutiny, as well, to be sure the project remains within the established budget. Although the process is in place prior to groundbreaking, it is flexible and can accommodate changes throughout. If changes become necessary following a review, the process can be tweaked accordingly to make it happen. The goal of making the client’s dream a reality within the various limitations is always the driving factor.

Client Participation
Throughout the entire construction process, Clavos Building Company is in constant communication with the client (whether local or out of town) via phone and email. By maintaining open communication with our clients, Clavos Building Company makes the Construction Phase as simple and clear as possible, sticking to the plans evolving from the Architectural Phase, and melding in any new additions with ease.

As with all the prior phases, Clavos Building Company is available to handle special requests as they arise. We are your local liaison to the project site, and are happy to accommodate your requests.
